# Nintendo Shutting Down Mario Kart Tour in September 2026

After seven years of service, Nintendo will be shutting down their mobile racer game, Mario Kart Tour, this September.

Nintendo stated [in a blog post](https://faq.mariokarttour.com/hc/en-us/articles/55861637745305-Mario-Kart-Tour-End-of-Service-Notification?ref=broximar.ca), "Service for the Mario Kart Tour game for smart devices will come to an end as of 11:00 p.m. Pacific on September 29."

There are no plans for a premium version. The game ceased all in-app purchases today.
